Recommendations for packaging correctly
• Use a box that is the correct size for the goods you wish to transport. If you use a cardboard box, check for any deterioration due to prior use; that it is still suitably rigid, that the corners are not damaged in any way and the flaps are completely intact. |
• Individually wrap each of the items and use a separator. Vibrations produced during transport can be dampened using different materials: foam, paper, bubble wrap, polystyrene or similar.
• Where necessary, reinforce the parts which can most easily be damaged with a good, strong tape, at the same time ensuring that sufficient tape is used to close the flaps securely.
• Extremely fragile objects require special packaging. Various packaging options are available from NACEX for these kinds of shipments.
• IT. and electronic equipment must always travel in its original packaging or the NACEX packaging specified for this kind of merchandise.
• Every shipment must be clearly labelled with your return address and that of the consignee/addressee.
• Chemical or pharmaceutical goods subject to the Hazardous goods regulations must be packaged and identified in accordance with the IATA and/or ADR standards.
